9 days Uganda safari
Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls
After your breakfast you will be picked up from the hotel by our guide to the Murchison Falls national park through famous Luwero triangle with lunch en route at Masindi or you may branch off to Ziwa rhino for rhino tracking and afterwards continue with a scenic drive to the park. Reach Murchison falls national park with a visit to the top of the falls for a remarkable sight and sound of the Nile crushing through a narrow gorge. Dinner and overnight stay at Para safari lodge/ Nile safari lodge/ Red chilli rest camp.
Day 2: Game Viewing Safari – Murchison Falls NP
After a cup of tea, set off for an early morning game drive to the northern part of the park where you will spot a number of elephants, buffaloes, hunting dogs, giraffes, bushbucks, hyenas among others. Return at your lodge for late breakfast, relax at the swimming pool as you wait for your lunch which will be followed by a tremendous boat cruise along the calm Victoria Nile and at the base of the falls for sightings of the hippos, crocodiles and over 20 bird species such as the goliath herons, Egyptian geese, pelican bee-eaters, kingfishers, Hornbills, cormorants and the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and an overnight stay at Para Safari Lodge/red chill camp, or Sambiya river lodge.(BLD)
Day 3: Safari through the Albertine Rift:
Enjoy your breakfast this morning and after wards set off for a quick drive to Kibale forest national park via the Albertan Escarpment of the western Rift valley to fort portal through country side homesteads, farms and shadows of Rwenzori mountains. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Uganda Safari Lodge, Mid range Rwenzori view guest house/Budget Sky tree house. (BLD)
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking – Kibale Forest
Wake up for a heavy breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing about chimp tracking. This will be followed by searching these great apes which will also enable you view other primates like the colobus monkeys, Mangabeys, baboons, Bush babies and many more as your guide provides more information about them. After lunch, you will have a nature walk to Bigodi wetland sanctuary for a number of birds and unique flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Uganda Safari Lodge, Mid range Rwenzori view guest house/Budget Sky tree house. (BLD)
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth NP
After your breakfast, you shall transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park with a wide game view en route for 2- 3 hours rewarded with elephants, buffaloes, leopard, hyena, and leopard. Reach early enough for lunch and then go for a breath taking launch drive along kazinga cannel offering a variety of Hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and water birds at a close range in their prolific environment. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge /jacana safari lodge/ hippo hill camp
Day 6: Game viewing along the Kasenyi Track a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After a heavy breakfast, you will embark on a quick journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park with a stopover at Ishasha for the famous tree climbing lions; however you may also get to see other animals you might have missed in the previous game drives. Then continue with a scenic drive through Kabale town also known as “the Switzerland of Africa”, arriving late evening to the park for relaxation for the next day activities or an evening walk around the lodge. Dinner and over night at the luxurious Gorilla Forest Camp set deep in the rain forest, Mid range Buhoma home stead, or budget Buhoma community bandas. (BLD)
Day 7: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
After breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters for briefing by the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Continue for the memorable exciting activity in an evergreen forest that may take 2-8 ours depending on the movement of the primates. Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour, then descend to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. You may then go for a community walk to the batwa where you will enjoy their cultural dances plus stories of their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 8: Game Viewing in Lake Mburo
After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo national park with views of banana plantations, kisoro hills and many more along the way. Reach early enough for lunch which will be followed by game drive to see to the burchell Zebras, statungas, impalas, gigantic eland antelopes, and some birds like Papyrus Gonoleks, Brown-faced Lapwings, Carruther’s Cisticolas, the extraordinary White winged Warbler the list is endless. Dinner and overnight stay at, arcadia cottages/ Rwonyo rest camp/ Lake Mburo tented camp.
Day 9: Return Trip to Kampala
You will have breakfast and then drive back to Kampala. Enjoy royal drum makers en route and a stopover at the equator for photography. Arrive Kampala early evening for a transfer to Entebbe for your flight back home
