15 days Uganda tour
Day 1: arrival
On your arrival, you will be picked up from Entebbe international airport and head to Kampala at your selected lodge for lunch. After wards you will have a city tour to the Uganda museum, Namugongo shrine, Kasubi tombs among others. Return for dinner and overnight at Sheraton hotel/ golf course hotel/ the lodge.
Day 2: Kampala – Murchison falls national park
After your breakfast you will be picked from the hotel by our guide to the park with lunch en route at Masindi or branch off to Ziwa rhino sanctuary so as to track the rhinos. Reach Murchison falls national park with a visit to the top of the falls for a remarkable sight and sound of the Nile crushing through a narrow gorge. Relaxation, Dinner and overnight stay at Para safari lodge/ Nile safari lodge/ Red chilli rest camp.
Day 3: Murchison falls national park
You will wake up for a cup of tea and there after meet your guide for an early morning game drive that reward sightings of wild animals like the buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, lions, hunting dogs among others. Return at your lodge for late breakfast and after lunch, you will have an awesome boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls expecting to see crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and numerous bird species like kingfishers, rare shoebills among others. Dinner and overnight stay at day 2.
Day 4: Murchison falls – fort portal
Enjoy your breakfast this morning and after wards set off for a quick transfer to fort portal via the Albertan Escarpment of the western Rift valley through country side homesteads, farms and shadows of Rwenzori Mountains. Dinner and overnight Ndali lodge, Kibale primate lodge, mountains of the moon.
Day 5: fort portal – Semliki – fort portal
After breakfast, you will transfer to Semliki national park along with your packed lunch for a visit to the Sempaya hot spring and also take a visit to the pygmy villages located near the Ituri Rainforest. Have lunch while experiencing the true Uganda and later in the afternoon, you will be driven back to fort portal for dinner and overnight stay at Ndali lodge, Kibale primate lodge, mountains of the moon.
Day 6: Kibale national park.
Wake up for a heavy breakfast and head to the park headquarters of Kibale national park for briefing about chimp tracking. This will be followed by searching these great apes which will also enable you view other primates like the colobus monkeys, Mangabeys, baboons, Bush babies and many more as your guide provides more information about them. After lunch, you will have a nature walk to Bigodi wetland sanctuary for a number of birds and unique flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Uganda Safari Lodge, Mid range Rwenzori view guest house/mountains of the moon.
Day 7: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth national park.
After a relaxed breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park with a wide game view en route of elephants, buffaloes, leopard, hyena, warthogs among others. Have a stopover in kasese for lunch and then continue to the park while taking memorable photos. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Lodge/ hippo hill camp.
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth national park.
You will wake up for a cup tea and there after meet your guide for an early morning game drive so as to catch up with the early risers like the buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, lions among others. Return for a late breakfast and relax as you wait for lunch. After lunch, you will take a visit to the bat and hunters cave in Maramagambo forest as the same will provide you a chance of seeing birds, primates, tree species among others. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Lodge/ hippo hill camp.
Day 9: Queen Elizabeth national park – Bwindi.
After a heavy breakfast, you will embark on a quick journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park with a stopover at Ishasha for the famous climbing lions; however you may also get to see other animals you might have missed in the previous game drives. Then continue with a scenic drive through Kabale town arriving late evening to the park for relaxation, dinner and night stay at: the Gorilla Resort/ wagtail eco lodge/ Buhoma community bandas.
Day 10: Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
After breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters for briefing by the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Continue for the memorable activity in an evergreen forest that may take 2-8 ours depending on the movement of the primates. Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour, then descend to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. You may then go for a community walk to the batwa where you will enjoy their cultural dances plus stories of their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort/ wagtail eco lodge/ Buhoma community bandas.
Day 11: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi.
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi with a wide game view en route for a number of activities which include, boat trip to different beautiful islands found on lake bunyonyi, sun bathing, nature walk, bird watching and many more. Dinner and overnight at Nature Prime Island.
Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi:
After breakfast, you will take a walk around the lake shores for bird watching and its from these birds that this lake derives the name “bunyonyi” locally meaning birds. After lunch you may enjoy different activities such as Canoeing, fishing and relaxation in this good environment. Dinner and overnight at Nature Prime Island.
Day 13: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo national park.
After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Mburo national park reaching early enough for lunch which will be followed by a boat ride on Lake Mburo. This will reward you sightings of the hippos, buffaloes, various birds plus refreshing you from the journey. Meals and overnight at Acardia cottages, Rwonyo rest camp, Mantana Tented Camp.
Day 14: Lake Mburo national park – Kampala – Jinja.
Enjoy your breakfast and afterwards take a transfer to Kampala, then continue to Jinja for a visit to the source of the Nile River and a number of fishing villages. Dinner and overnight at Nile Resort Jinja or Hotel Triangle all with water view.
Day 15: city tour (depending on flight time) and departure.
You will take breakfast and then transfer to Kampala for a partial city tour including visits of the Uganda museum, Namugongo shrine among others. After lunch, you will later transfer to Entebbe so as to catch up with your flight back home.
